So yeah now i'm sick again, i really don't know what hit me but it seems i got no appetite for eating anything. If i eat a normal portion of food i couldn't even finish it half of it, and some time i hurl it out like crazy. i don't know whats happening to me, the only thing that i can eat is pancake, which is soft and kind soggy even those i can't eat a whole bunch i gotta eat it up very slowly. oh well so much for my health...let just hope i get better soon. i don't want what happened last year happen again this year.

They got Electric Wizard & Black Sabbath, Slayer, Integrity, Ringworm mashed up together...kinda like Pulling Teeth but more groove in it. See why i told you that you cannot go wrong with this band. London's very own Hang The Bastard are here to smash it! Very psyched to see them next year to south east asia.

I've been expecting for the Virgin Witch to arrive ever since a year ago...i do have an amazing patience. But now the wait is finally over, and now here i received 2 VW silver cover, grey vinyl. 1 gold cover black vinyl, and a test press!...sweet!!!
Though i wish that i'd get another Pulling Teeth lp, but hey with this much vinyl...i don't want to complain.

Another quick update.
Final Attack is doing yet another upcoming recording session, probably will be used for split or something...we'll just have to see about that.
While our up coming Abandoned Houses album will also be released by our friends from the almighty Firstnote Records. check them here Firstnote.
Expect an awesome bundle package from Firstnote Records for our Abandoned Houses album...
there will be a package that looks like a pizza box, and it contains the Abandoned houses album with entirely different looking cover and also the Length Of Time album with yet another much different looking cover.

Final Attack will be released in tape version by my friend from xHeadfirstx Records in North Carolina, US.
I'm not sure which song we're gonna put up for the tape version. but Abandoned Houses and Death Within Life will definitely be in that release. Another update for this release, i'm still looking forward on doing the split with Coke Bust, that also will be released by Headfirst Records...and it will be on vinyl! how great is that...its a prestige moment for Final Attack considering that there aren't many Indonesia band that are released in vinyl. So for those of you back then that thought that we wouldn't make it anywhere...see for your self how many things that we have accomplish during these past years. This is what D.I.Y really stands for...we make our own shows, book our own selves, we print our own merch, we (i, in this matter) design our own merch, we mostly pay for our own goddamn tickets going here and there. we don't have anyone to "manage" our band except ourselves.

SHAI HULUD Mysanthropy Tour

Finally, my favorite all time band came over to put a show in Jakarta!
The show was put up by Trueside Records and Three Chord System..all was well, The show wasn't like what i expected, not too much people came to the show, my bet it is because the local bands (well in this case, band) that opening up for Shai Hulud. Don't care much about that band who's opening up...people complain and complain who fit more to open up for them, tell me...who in the hell has the same vein as Shai Hulud does? There are no way in hell that any other local band are fitted enough to open up for Shai Hulud.
But i don't complain, i don't who will open up for them as long as i can see Shai Hulud in person. The show was spectacular...well, let me rephrase that...Shai Hulud was spectacular. I never saw so much energy in a band like the have.
What bums me the most is that they play Set Your Body Ablaze on their third song of the set...but fuck it, atleast i get to do stage dives, although not much cause i have to handle my camera while doing it.

also on a personal note..one of the band that were opening up for them ALICE was really really awesome! they should get to be noticed more often.

FINALLY! my days and years being a hardcore kid will finally pay off.
Shai Hulud is coming over and i am very stoked seeing them live here in my hometown.
Despite of all the nagging i receive about the local act (one band in particular), well let's just put it this way, you don't like it...then don't come to the show.
But enough about haters...let's just talk about Shai Hulud!! they have been my top 10 favorite band of all time...fuck working at the show, i'ma stage dive and go ape shit when Set Your Body Ablaze is on!

Yay! finally one of my favorite band came over to Jakarta. i hangout with them for 3 straight days, and at the show i got too worn out to do show review. But manage to take several pictures of them though it's not that good cause i wasn't using my own camera. Received shitloads of stuff from them in the end of the show. They asked me to make a couple of more designs. which is cool considering that they already pay me up front by showering me with merchs..haha. yeah i know, i'm a cheap skate.
anyway, i love them so much even more than i used to. Not because they gave me bunch of stuff but because they manage to play my favorite song. Kiss That Mother Fucker Good Night.

GIVE LIFE was formed in Japan in December 2006. They made their first Demo with only one song in summer 2007 and they started touring, after that they made another demo consisting of 5 songs. After that, they carry on playing shows, touring and supported many bands such as HAVE HEART, SHIPWRECK A.D, OUTBREAK, DOWN TO NOTHING, SINKING SHIPS, MILES AWAY on their Japan tours.

May 2009, they did a tour with GRAVE MAKER in Japan and in June, they did the tour over the west coast in the United States for 2 weeks and performing at RAIN FEST '09. March 2010 they will tour to South East Asia. They will be releasing their 6 songs CD called Actions? from their own label 'GRANDSIDE' Records in spring 2010. The sounds that they have are strained feelings, emotional, high energized,with lots of sing-alongs and breakdowns, straight and modern hardcore.

To Whine or to Shine?

It's been 3 months since i got sick, well i'm still unwell, the virus is still eating my body away...so i still get weak, sweat easily, i tire. But i got that in control (more or less) I-Need-To-Eat-Meaty-Food other than just healthy food. Sure spinach, corn, peas, etc makes me healthy, but it doesn't really really add up my weight. Well at least my complain part about food is already over, now all i need to do is to maintain my body weight. Still need to add it up cause somehow i have a really really bum legs, i can't run with it let alone jumping, so i spend most of my day in my bed watching tv or practicing walking faster. Also i spend most of my days listening to Cursed, Reign Supreme, Morrissey, and last but not least Pulling Teeth, so it couldn't be that bad.

Well other than complaining, i also want to remind myself that i feel really lucky. Though i haven't been really productive but i'm really happy to participate in making designs for top notch bands and record label. I'm also glad that i have a really cool circle of friends, they comfort and support me, sometimes in their own weird way but i still appreciate it. They taught me much about trusting people (well this doesn't really implies to everyone...haha). i'm not really good with fancy words anymore, i don't know why maybe i lost it somewhere when i stopped reading/writting. so my question is still am i more prone to whine or to shine? i'm just hoping for the best for myself

Proof that Final Attack doesn't really cut up to be called as a Hardcore band

so yeah, guess it is better for us to be like this...

well yeah the title says it all...but i guess i gotta add more description about it also.
First of all...notice that most of Hardcore band always looks tough on their photo session, or how serious they look like. Ie ; tough guy hc / heavy hardcore band usually puts either smirking faces or angry faces on their session. while other more modern melodic usually smile a little bit or just plain look serious. So in that, we try to re-invent the situation, and for other reason such as we barely had any photo of all 5 of the members in one frame, let alone a photo session.

PARKWAY DRIVE

Parkway Drive show...
this show was pretty much massive for Final Attack. but all rounder it was a great show...the management of the show was coordinated very good. I haven't seen 1 asshole acting security. the show promoter was really nice, giving us everything we needed in a show (in which we didn't ask for anything at all except to let our guys in).
The highlight was not of course when we played, nor is it when Parkway Drive was playing. They of course manage to shred the stage pretty neatly...i have never seen such performance from band like when i see Parkway Drive. BUT, the highlight was when Chino went passed the guys from Parkway Drive and Winston (the vocalist), saw Chino's tag and said "You're Final Attack?, Dude...through out the whole tour, i have seen your band t-shirt everywhere. And turns out we played together in this show. I saw Final Attack perform earlier...and you guys are awesome!, like from all the shows we've played in this tour, you guys are the best one".
Hahaha...i smiled very widely when i heard this from Chino. so i decided to give them a copy of our CD.

this one is actually pointless to write about but i just want to point out that i am really proud of what Final Attack are doing, a local hardcore with DIY ethic band, who lots of people think we suck at Indo because we don't play metal or heavy shits like most of the "hardcore" band would play, but turns out that we have accomplish more than even we would expect. We manage to release an album, an EP and several demos, not to mentioned around 28 t-shirt design. also upcoming 7" split album with Coke Bust.

Oh yeah today has just been really spectacular!!
more designs to do, name Final Attack, 8 design in a week, all regarding the upcoming Length Of Time release so the design would be really different from the ones i used to make for Final Attack not to mention one design that are a tribute to The Smiths. the thing is that the i wanted the print to be discharge on the t-shirt, so it would take less ink on the shirt, and less hot when the weather is humid, but i still haven't got any news on how minimally it takes to do discharge print. Also the one above i posted. it's a zombie head design...well, beheaded zombie though. we'll just see if i can finish those in time, i'm kinda slacking off on the details. and not to mention it takes loads of color to do that piece.
Straight Answers upcoming album cover,just did the photo session today, but still not sure on how would the cover would look like, cause me and Aca ran outta idea for the cover, but things will be finish soon. we'll go most likely with a live picture outside...need more Straight Answer photo stock.
a cover design for Teaser Opera, metalcore band from malaysia that i've been working on...too bad the progress are going on really REALLY slow, somehow i don't want to go hasty on this one.
a zombie design for SB crew Malaysia...kinda feel heavy to give this one away though but a promise is a promise and up until now i still haven't uploaded the design to them yet...hahaha.

Ryan from Think Fast! Records contacted me today asking me if i can make more design for Wait In Vain, No Harm Done and Grave Maker...i totally said yes right away, i have an idea on how the Wait In Vain & Grave Maker design would look like, but really no idea and i mean NO IDEA at all for No Harm Done. I'll probably gonna go for something easy and less mystical & scary than my usual style for No Harm Done.
Wait In Vain this design will be influenced by 1984 by George Orwell, While Grave Maker will be influenced by Edgar Allen Poe.
A Better Hope Foundation design is in my list of sketches too...1 corn design ( Matt asked me to do this ), and 1 more serious design kinda like His Hero Is Gone / Tragedy design (but more color!).
J Rivera from xHEADFIRSTx Records also contact me today asking me to make design for the FA split with Coke Bust 7" cover. something like Pulling Teeth or Integrity or Ruiner design...still having no idea on how it would look like though...but i got the guideline so i guess it would be easier since it is also my band and i know the turning point idea of the band and everything. if the design is done, he'll probably gonna hand me over several test press...i don't know how to sell it though so i guess i'm gonna just keep everything. and when the record is done, i'll be selling the 7". it'll be really hard to sell since not a lot of people in Indonesia have record player. so i guess i'm just gonna sell it to a collector, and think about it...it can be fun to have huge collection of releases.
last but not least...Lord Dom (Pulling Teeth!) sent me a message asking me for the design sample i gave him! guess he's interested in some of my design, i don't care, he can take all the design for all i care...haha. He offered me huge bundle of stuff like records, money and test press...HA!!!
how cool is that!. I hope i didn't ask too much when i asked for a couple of t-shirt that i design and zip up hoodie...but who knows he would.

anyway...this is how my day ended up really amazingly great. i can't wait till all the package arrive.
Also other random stuff...the xMOTIVATIONx tour is coming up in jakarta. it's gonna be a wild show!

Tomorrow is gonna be horror for me, i gotta go as early as i could to see Dinda, and at night i'm gonna get my back tattoo finish. hopefully if i still have more strength i'll get my Morrissey logo finish on my arm. Eat your heart out Aca & Doddy!

This is going to be a really long blog so please just bear with me.
This December, was a really hard one for me. the first week i have to organize to tour for Here After. it came out smoothly but almost at the end everything went messed up, as it turns out that a lot of the show promoter bailed out on them so i'm feeling rather sorry myself blaming everything that has to end up that way. But i learned to carefully organize show only with the people i trust, i won't go for random people that asked me to organize anymore...so yeah in anyway is possible, next time there wont be anymore screw-ups. So yeah i also had to leave the Here After kids at Aca's place because i have to go tour to Malaysia with Final Attack.

Our trip to Malaysia, are way awesome. I never thought that it would feel that awesome. We were picked up by Suqun, a funny guy that resembles one of my friend here in Jakarta. Afterwards it was a bus trip to downtown KL carrying hefty loads of equipment and suitcases and backpacks. Didn't mind all of it though cause i got used to it at home...we manage to stop by at a restaurant or food corner, whatever. After around 10 minutes of talking to Suqun, more kids shows up here sitting with us, a guy that i forgot his name was but recognize him by his nickname Naked Crew, and Kazaa. Afterwards more people came to our table, Ato'k, xEinx, Pali, and the almighty longtime friend Kenet!. We went to xEinx's apartment and manage to sleep and make a mess there for a week (sorry dude). There we manage to meet up with Fanzuri & Rina two of the funniest people i have met in almost of my life. The preparation before the show Bridging Oceans was also great, me and Andre went strolling for ourself because we thought that most of the guys preparing at the show were militant straight edge, so the both of
us indulge ourself with Slurpees and soda and whole bunch of ciggarettes. The show was spectacular, it was so crowded and weird because i manage to see a whole lotta peeps that i thought were not in the same scene as those who runs the show. They manage to buy tickets to get in and squeeze themself in the crowd saying hi to me while i was on stage. Our merch table...man, i really can't explain this one, cause i never had any experience where a whole lotta people came to our merch table and bought a whole bunch.

I'm just gonna cut most of the details because we were there for a week and it's been almost a month since i went there and i forgot most of the details of it, not to mention i was scheduled to go home on th 20th but our flight were cancelled and so we had to go on the next day, afterwards at Jakarta, i had to perform with Robo Murphy at Ghaust record launch party, i was a decent show. and the next day i had to accompany the guys from A Better Hope Foundation for a week, had to take Otto with me because he's like the only person that is fun to take travel with. It was a brilliant time with Sina, Wes, Matt and Blake...the only hard time i had when being their tour guide was my lack off sleep and i was also sick after the tour in Malaysia.

So i'm just gonna thank you a whole bunch of people now. Thank you for xEinx for being such a friendly person and letting me and Final Attack crash at your place, crash and thrash your place. Suqun for accompany us along the way and most of the time, and for breaking off that old wound that you have on your knee just so that you can take the day off from your office so that you can accompany widi & ihsan to go to the airport. Madzrina & Fanzuri for making me laugh all the time and joking about a whole bunch of random stuff. Darryl for stealing me bunch of stuff (HA!!) and for being such an awesome guy. xPalix, Ato'k, xBartx, Arwith, Daus, Dee, Kazaa, xEjatx, NoBeat, Ujang, for accompany us, taking your time off from work and some of you even had to sneak outta the office to see Final Attack. Kenet for being such a awesome friend, tagging along with us everyday and sharing a whole lotta stuff with me, yeah i guess you and me are in the same ship right now. Hafiz, Joana & the Singapore kids for being such a badass friend!! love you guys in every way. Najib, Limbung, Syafiq and the rest of Back On Track crew for being a whole bunch of Kunyuk! haha...you guys are amazing!. Wes for all the jokes and random shites that you pulled out everytime, Matt for sharing a whole bunch of stuff, the advices you told me about, and the Offer you gave (yes i will consider that one throughly), Sina & Blake for being such a great pal and it is funny to see how you guys argue about little matter. Aca, for being Mufti!!! ha!. Rudy, Anom, Mario & This Heart for being a great deal of help while i was in Jogja. Deden, Ajay & Rizky for lending me a hand at Bandung & Cianjur. Otto for being such a great partner in traveling, sorry i had to borrow loads of your money too. Chino, Widi, Andre, Ihsan for making the trip to malaysia happen...especially you Chino, i owe you a great deal of shit. Mirzie, also for making this tour happen. and D. Advena...for waiting for me such a long time...i love you my dear.

The t-shirt was meant for be Hardfest VI only t-shirt, but i didn't manage to print it on time so Mirzie Firstnote Rec and i decided to just put it in for the limited edition t-shirt. this t-shirt and a couple of more designs will be available only through pre-sale, after that it will not be printed.
Well...honestly i never allow more than 2 dozens per shirt design anyway...keeps the buyer happy knowing that what they have are really limited. The other design will be available in other FA pre-sale bundle deal...probably.

Keep in mind that FA will be released along with their fellow Jakarta hardcore friend, xBRAVEHEARTx which will be release alongside with FA by the good guys from Firstnote Records.

Final Attack will be going to Malaysia to play at Bridging Oceans on the 13th and Mosh Party II on the 14th. along with A Better Hope Foundation (US), Here After (AUS), Bloody Rejects (S'Pore), and xElevenx at Bridging Oceans. While at Mosh Party II, with Here After (AUS), and Killing Me Inside (INA). shite...both show will be equaly awesome!
hopefully the merch would still last...haha

Raincoat also manage to finish up their recording hopefully it'll be mixed and mastered soon enough. after that it'll be released by us, Trueside Records. Pretty stoked on releasing these youth crew heroes...lotsa energy in them, awesome band with awesome songs with even more awesome people in it.

Robo Murphy will be opening up Ghaust (An Heavy Semi-prog Instru-metal band from Jakarta), along with Fall, Denial, Kelelawar Malam. Probably gonna be the most diverse show ever been put up, Fall will representing Post-Hardcore, Denial will be representing Noise-rock, Kelelawar Malam representing Horror-punk, and Robo Murphy will be representing...well...themself.

And HARDFEST IV is coming up on 27th December. i can say that this show is going to be really packed because it's been going on for 4 years and still going strong. be sure to bring more money because variation of merchandises will be sold here at the show. remember that the show will start at 13:00 pm at Stardust Cafe at Sarinah Thamrin.

Been staying off

Been staying off the internet lately, or anything digital...except for DVD ever since 2 weeks ago. and now i am back using these item of electronics. felt kinda good but i have to catch up withh all the email and designs that i promised to people around me.

Yeah, the two weeks of didn't really help much because i still have to run everything by myself, in example i have to run Trueside records, my other EO project, Congkak Culas design, FA design, Cover, Printing, zine and also some other contact i have to be on updating the split album, not to mention i got my mind set on FA show at Kuala Lumpur. so yeah even if i manage to get myself some rest for the week i still know that i have lots to update. anyhoo...yeah after the tour i'm gonna tell the other FA kids to take a month off from show...it's really hectic.

But last two weeks it has been kinda fun also, as i manage to receive bundle of package sent by Ryan Outreak, and also from Ian Reas of Vanguard...talk about fun stuff they sent me.
and i'm still waiting for the package from Dom Pulling Teeth...i'm not sure what he sent me but i know that i am going to love it, since he didn't mentioned what he is going send.
Keep your eyes peeled on the FA upcoming split 7" that will be released by xHeadfirstx Records NC, USA. and for FA upcoming EP that will be released by the almighty Firstnote Records Jakarta Indonesia.

Bandung Trip

this piece is rather scary!!

it was about a week ago FA's doing some more record mastering.
man i'm beat having to go back and forth, but well the end justify the means...(i know it's not the right time to say that..haha). Went from jakarta around 11pm-ish...we really took the long road and somehow we manage to get our ass to bandung around 3 in the morning. figuring out where to stay we look for bunch of cheap hotels but yeah unfortunatelly it wasn't cheap enough so we decided to go find the studio ourself and after long hours of searching for it, we manage to find it. but yeah it was way too early to come crashing there at the studio or any hotel, we're just way too beat to go there...so instead we look for a free empty space for us to park and get ourself a doze of sleep.
i'm not actually sure what time i manage to wake up but as far as i am concerned we manage to get some rest. so then we took off to look for cheap hotels so that we may get some even more decent sleep.
after a few hours of sleeping (which i didn't have because it was way too early for me too sleep), we took off heading back to the studio...there aren't a lot of special thing happening in the studio except for the fact that me, Chino & Andri switch position every 30 minutes so that each of us can get extra sleep. took around 3 hours to finish it all...more or less. then it is back to the hotel...we're still too beat out to go shopping around. so we pack ourself with snacks and liquors for some fun back at the hotel...Chino was too sleepy to hangout. So after a few drinks we get our ass some sleep and then in the morning it was time for us to go shopping....
too bad i didn't manage to get myself anything...i almost did when Dinda manage to find ISIS t-shirt...i didn't manage to get it but i guess that i might borrow it..hahaha.
so yeah on our way back home to jakarta we manage to take a lotta sweet photos of the panoramic enviroment...well thats that.

the new FA album is going to be released again, around November.
whoa, talk about pretty productive...2 release in a year.
well glad that the last released is almost out anyway,
only a hundred left, and that one is for the South East Asian tour we're gonna jam ourself into.
and about the new record, it's not that basic fast style heavy chugga chugga shit. kinda combination between Leeway, Integrity, Pantera (? perhaps, don't really listen to Pantera that much), Entombed! (i gotta give credits to this band also), and as always..Madball. But to me, this EP is full on Leeway. anyhoo...still with no trying-too-hard-to-play-metal, no typical subjects about unity(cause i think that unity is rather hilarious), hardcore scene, or that kinda shit. this release is more personal to the other members because it interpret a whole lotta different meanings to us. as the title of would be "LENGTH OF TIME", it represents Final Attack as a band that started as a joke and still going further as a joke but manage to concentrate they lyrics more to the social subject, all the shits we've been thru and had to deal with, all those rumours that strikes me funny, all the pain, the loss, the anger, the hardwork we did, as i mentioned before...everything that we have endure, But still manage to go thru all those shits and still on going strong.

Strong is a pretty strong word i guess, but i use this as a guide to portray what FA has accomplish. we have a good record company that willing to release us (All hail FIRSTNOTE RECORDS!!!), we have an also equal good friends who are willing to help us distributing our record, screen printing company that always puts up with all (well most) of our official merchandises (which btw we sell by ourself. NOTE: you will rarely see our merchandise anywhere). by far we still manage this band ourself, no managerial bullshit floating around us...not that i think that its wrong to have a manager but personally for me and the rest of the members, we think that as far communication goes we can go manage this band by ourself. and as Dillinger Escape Plan would say in one of their articles some issues on AP "having a manager in your band doesn't make your band more professional than the rest".

oh yeah almost forgot, FA supposed to release the split album with Brutal Terrorism, yeah and i'm sorry to say that its been post-poned again. Firstnote Records (and FA) feels that it is better to release this EP first because we want to give a tribute to the late Mario Ganzamo & Dhenu...so this ep will be dedicated to them. and yeah the split with Brutal Terrorism will still be released around 2009, and on that year FA will be releasing a split 7"! get stoked on this baby!
the band that we will be working on with will be announced, not soon!, but around december. so keep your pants on till that day comes.

SHIT!! dammit i got a lot of design to make...it listed to almost 16 projects.
dammit it seems that i just don't have the time for doing all of this. i'm i think i'm just gonna take a look on the brightside...atleast i can get me lotsa merch by doing this.
anyhoo...yeah things will be great afterwards. another thing that i have on my mind is that other than design projects i got me lot more homework to do like finishing FA's latest (even newer) recording, organizing shitloads of show and such, not to mention my daily job.

Jakarta has lost one it's own yet again

It has been around two full months since Jakarta has lost one of his most dedicated Hardcore kid, also known as Stand Off's manager people recognize as Dhenu.
now on this tragic day, we have to suffer the loss of Mario Ganzamo, from the band called Looserz. we went into a tragic traffic accident today around dawn at 4 am -5am. no one really knows for sure cause there were no eye witness on the event.

I got a call from one of the loudest mouth in the scene (yes Oyi! it is you :D), i didn't manage to believe what he said, but then Mario's band mate talk to me over the phone and explained what happend. i was stunned but still don't believe what really happened. i went calling bunch of my buddies and finally got me a ride to go to the hospital to check out his condition. i cried when i saw him...i couldn't believe what i saw, i couldn't believe that it happened to him. this is like the most time i cried in a day...

I remembered when he came up to me and said how much he love Final Attack and i replied to him by saying that "you and Looserz are one of the reason we keep on going in the scene", i remembered when it was before Ramadhan we took Mario to one of our show and force him to do a song that actually have him featured in the song but he was to shy to play that song because he said that he don't wanna fuck up the song cause he hasn't memorize the lyrics and i said to him "just play and have fun with it, no one would notice anyway", then he still declined and told me "after Ramadhan we'll fuck up the stage together okay, just besure to give me the lyrics".
I remember when he came to Final Attack's latest recording, we were realy looking forward in having him featured in one of our song as well he was really looking forward in recording with us.
i remember when i saw them the first time around 1999, i said to myself that this is the toughest band ever in Jakarta.

All the memories of his laugh, dedication, songs, performance, attitude, behaviour, his love for the scene especially his love for his friends as he would treat his friends like his brother will never be forgotten. he will always be in my heart...

ROAD TRIP to Bandung! well, me and the 2 Final Attack brothers has to do a mixing and mastering session there. so instead we brought along the guys from Rain x Coat, 2 dudes from Bali and Otto. With the help from 2 local Bandung guys Isan & Andri.
Well we manage to get a great road trip although it started off really bad cause the weather was fucked and also it took us till 3:40 am to find us a decent motel. got me truckloads of indecent photos as well...not really proud of it but it is funny!

and Oh! finally finish the mixing & mastering for Final Attack new material. which up until now we still don't know for what should we use it. should we keep it as a stock, for new ep, for the old split album or for the new split.

Rants about Surabaya show!

I’m not gonna say much about the show at Malang, cause they treat us really well! Even more than I would expect they do. The show we played were fucking insane, I’ve never seen such enthusiast and such jumping spin kicks at FxA show. And to be quite honest I know that none of them kids who mosh ever heard of FxA before. But they shown much respect to us so I put them in my mind and my heart.

The show at surabaya suck donkey balls, I feel that they want to neglect us from the start. First case when FxA, PCHC & MxG arrive at the stasion. They would only pick up MxG and not caring about how PCHC & FxA would end up. But we really don’t give a shit about them…

We went to the venue with one of the promoter’s car. When we arrive at the Venue there was a big ass banner for MxG, the MxG kids said that this is the most ridiculous thing they ever saw. Even Chris the drummer said “I officially gonna break the edge if I play in this show”, Why? Because this show was sponsored by big ass cigarette corporation!. They didn’t mention anything about this at all…we were expecting a D.I.Y. show but instead they gave this crappy huge ass show.

Not to mention the body guards they got to guard MxG, they say that it was unnecessary. It was so-un-punk. Even when I put the FxA merch at the merch table, the dude running the merch table don’t give a shit about the FxA tee…even when I came to collect the money and merch, that dude is already gone. I didn’t panic cause I know that I can put up more points not to support their show anymore. Fortunatelly the money and merch were collected by the MxG kids, they keep it safe and sound for us.

The part when the show was over, one of the promoter ask my guitarist “where ya gonna stay?”, my guitarist replied “I don’t know, aren’t we supposed to get a hotel room or something?” , then the promoter replied “Oh, no…that room is for MxG only, where you gonna stay is none of my concern”. So yeah we got pissed and decided to just sleep at the airport, then Kasey from MxG asked us about where we gonna go after this, she got really pissed when she knows how they treated us. So she invited us to stay at the hotel.

Once we were in the hotel, they provide 2 rooms. Without ever having any hesitation, we just throw in all our stuff there. Then a guy comes in and said, “this room is not for you, it’s for the MxG kids”. I really didn’t care much about what he said and then came along the MxG kids while saying “just take this room, our room is big enough for the four of us anyway”. We hangout a lot in that room we got, the Malang kids, PCHC, MxG and FxA everyone was basically trying to spend their last night together.

While in the other room, Indra, Me, Chris and Avy were negotiating about the money they got from that huge as cigarette sponsor. And they said that they can only provide MxG with 50$ for the show. Okay they showed us the list consisting the show income and everything. Most of the details they put up are such bullshit. More than 11 distro sponsor can only give 10$ combined?! And only 200 people paid for the ticket? That’s bull shit, I saw that there were more than 200, not more than 400 though. All the bullshit they put us up with…are just plain stupid.

Too bad later on the Malang kids along with PCHC have to go back to Malang. It leaves just the FxA and MxG. In the morning they dipped out around 4 in the morning, they came to our room and say goodbye to us…I really hate good bye’s and shits like that. But it was touching for me…10 minutes after they left, I went to sleep.

Waking up while still feeling pissed. We decided to just dip right away…heading our ass to the train station. We missed the train when we got there, and the next train would be around 14:00 or 18:00 or 20:00. I think the promoter tricked us, we were supposed to take the earliest train which supposed to be 12:00 ish but turns out the most earliest train was at 08:00, either he lied or he doesn’t know (yeah! Like I would believe him). Oh did I mentioned that we went there alone by ourself lost in an unknown city? Not even any help from that promoter officials whatsoever. So off we head to the airport which cost us a lot, let alone the plane tickets…it cost us a hefty!

But I’m safe and sound back at home, feeling tired and weak after the trip but still forcing my way to write this all down about the pure discrimination we received from them, and resizing some of the pic I took on that tour. KUDOS for Uncle G for letting us use the merch money, and KUDOS for the Malang kids that helps us a lot when we were at Malang and Surabaya.

Another great show from Cut Sick At Angki's Hell. Damn! that place is hard to locate, took me around 30 minutes to find it while i'm already at the viscinity...but it's all good. i got in right after 3 bands already played...didn't manage to find out whom, as well. Didn't manage to watch Straight Answer as well cause i was packing Robo Murphy's demo. i didn't drink much there, cause i know i was way too tired, but i didn't manage to take lotsa pictures as well. i got my handful helping the dude who own the place.

After the show i tagged along with them towards DiPePi, cause i'm looking forward in buying their merchandise. Once there not only i bought their merchandise, but manage to find me Government Issue's Ep 7"...SWEET!

Well...a bad day turns into a awesome evening. I manage to play my first gig with Robo Murphy, along with several first time performance such as Bakar Diri, Fed Up With Lies, and the new line up for All Heroes Are Assholes (in which i used to play bass there), opening up for thrashcore band from Melbourne...pretty awesome performance they add up to the list. Raincoat's drummer also was replaced by Chino FxA (my homeboy from my other band), due to the fact that the drummer had an incident.
Wish i could take more pictures but i was too wasted to take pictures, though i manage to get few of them, and the rest i just keep it in my folders. Mad props to Ega for organizing this awesome gig.

Yesterday has been officially the most fucked up day i've ever had. i woke up sick, ended up being bored. and to add things up...my friend told me the most fucked up news to me.
i felt better today though, but still got lotsa stuff to do, so it'll only make me depressed cause i'm close to deadline.
